It was 10 years ago today that the Winnipeg Jets played their last game, a 4-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. The loss ended the Jets playoff run, and their status as an NHL franchise.As a Jets fan, it wasn't a great game. It was, however, a night I'll never forget. The "White Out" was in full effect. The building was sold out. The noise was deafening.
The Winnipeg Jets. 1972 - 1996. Ten years ago today, we said goodbye.
